Hi Everyone!

in Pregnant after a Loss

Just wanted to introduce myself!

 BFP a few days ago after our Missed MC in August.  We are very excited with how quickly everything happened, but any advice on overcoming the immense anxiety that comes with PAL?  Looking down every time I use the bathroom to check for bleeding, panicking because my boobs don't hurt ("they would be sore if I were really pregnant"), etc.

 Looking forward to what is hopefully a happy nine months with you ladies!

    Congratulations!

    Best advice I can give, given that I'm still in the midst of PgAL Panic, would be to take it a day at a time. Not every day is the same as the last, symptoms are worse some days and better others, and that is normal. Doesn't mean the end of the world. Enjoy everyday you are pregnant!

    Congrats! I don't have success in getting over the anxiety as I'm still dealing with it. That being said, it is lessening a bit with time. The best thing I've heard thus far is, "Today I'm pregnant and I love my baby."

    Testing - Me ok, gluten issue? DH - borderline count, low motility
    4/28/11 IUI#1 = BFP!(5/25), EDD 2/2/12 - m/c 5w3d
    7/3, 7/31, 9/25 - IUI#2-4=BFN
    IVF#1 - 1 blast = BFP!! (12/30), EDD 9/9/12, confirmed c/p 4w2d
    FET#1 3/2/12 - 2 blasts =BFP!! EDD 11/18/12, us#1 = twins! Confirmed m/c 5w6d
    4/20-surprise BFP and another c/p 4w2d

    Congrats and welcome to the board. All I can say is take it one day at a time and enjoy it, that's what I'm trying to do.

    Congratulations!!! It's sure not easy and I am guilty of analyzing every little thing but I've tried to take things one day at a time and it helps some.

    RPL Workup: + LPD (7DPO Prog = 7.8, Endometrial Bx = out of phase)
    Elevated Alpha 2-glycoprotein IgA and antiphosphatidylserine IgM -->
    Hematologist said not to worry and no need for treatment!

    Dx: LPD
    Cycle #1(08/2012): Clomid 50 mg CD3-7, Ovidrel CD13 + Progesterone = It worked!
    BFP #5 on 09/10/12 (11 DPO). HCG #1 @ 14DPO = 131.6 HCG #2 @ 16DPO = 509

    Congratulations and welcome! I know I struggle daily with worries about what if. I always check when I go to the bathroom...I think that will never change. But I know I am also so excited for this baby so I try to focus on the joy.

    Welcome and congratulations!  Take everything one day at a time, and never be scared to call your doctor with questions!  That is my best advice.

    I don't know that my insecurities will ever go away, but I try to not let them overshadow my joy. Just try to enjoy each day and rejoice in the small victories as they come.  Welcome to the board, and congrats!

    Congrats!  I wish I had some advice on overcoming the anxiety, but it's still a bit of struggle for me too.  The only thing I can really say is make sure to take it a day at a time.  Welcome!

    Welcome and congratulations! 

    I understand what you mean about immense anxiety.  The first month I felt like the rug was going to be pulled out from under me at any minute.  It gradually has gotten easier, the more milestones I pass.  I've stopped feeling myself up to check for soreness, but I still check the toilet paper every time I wipe, so I can't help you there Stick out tongue.  Just remember that symptoms tend to come and go, and today you are pregnant and love your baby.
