2nd Trimester

Shortness of breath anyone? 26 weeks

Well I guess it started 2 weeks ago. I am totally uncomfortable and having a lot of SOB.  I eat one big meal a day and I usually feel horrible after. I tried smaller meals through out the day but I haven't been able to gain any weight thus far. So my doctor has giving me 3 weeks to gain weight. My chest feels full usually after I eat so maybe the sob is actually heartburn or reflux. anyone else short of breath.

  • Yep. Already. It is sad. I didn't have this with DS until much later. It only really happens going up stairs. I am not looking forward to this getting worse.

  • I'm 24 weeks, and SOB started a couple weeks ago.  I feel winded going up the stairs, and sometimes even when I am sitting down doing nothing.  When I was pregnant with DD, I never felt like this....I was walking a few miles 4-5 times a week with no problem....all the way to the end.  Needless to say, I worry how I am going to feel towards the end of this pregnancy.  :(

  • Shoot yes!  I had SOB very early, like starting 8 weeks on.  I would walk up to the school office to speak with th principal and she'd always ask if I'd been running.  Rolling over in bed made me SOB, too.  It eased up in the 2nd tri, but now that I'm in the 3 tri, it's started all over again.
  • I am already too...especially notice it carrying my toddler up and down stairs.  I am only 19 weeks...freaking embarassing.
  • I've been having it bad the last week. Completely exhausting. I just can't seem to catch my breath ever at this point!
  • I've had it almost the whole time, but especially a lot lately. I feel like I just ran a mile sometimes and I just went up and down the stairs. It makes me feel out of shape! Stick out tongue

  • I had it in the first tri.  It went away until about 25-26 weeks and then it came back and I am thinking it's here to stay!

  • I was coming on here to post the exact same thing - except I'm about 21 weeks and have been feeling this for about a week.

Not only do I get a little winded doing normal things like walking up the stairs, but I also gasp for air every 15 mins or so (average).  Like an involuntary extra breath.  This happens no matter where I am or what I'm doing - laying down, walking, sitting, whatever.  Does anyone else get this too?
