When can LO sit up in a stroller?

I've heard that newborns should only really be in a stroller that lays flat, or in their car seats on an adapter. LO isn't a newborn anymore (*sob*), but is she old enough to be sitting up in a stroller?

She's almost 3 months old; has very good head control; can sit up for a few seconds by herself; and likes to sit bolt upright. We're wondering whether it's safe for her to sit up - as in, right up - in her stroller now, because she's happiest when she's in that position.

We have the babyjogger city mini, if that makes any difference.

    I was under the impression that its as soon as they can control their heads. My LO can and is sitting up pretty well, but we still haven't used the stroller yet (we have the B-agile). We just pop the carseat on top. If we were to use the stroller right now, I'd probably lay it back a little bit through...

    We have the double City Mini GT, and LO has been sitting up in it for quite a while now, probably since around the age of yours now.  We laid her flat initially, but once she had good head control and got really frustrated laying down while she was awake we sat her up without a problem.  She just loves to sit up so she can see everything!  You should be fine, and LO will probably be happier!

    I have both the Bob Revolution and B-Ready strollers. I put LO in both and prop a swaddling blanket up against his head on one side just in case he needs a little extra support. But with the back reclined a little, he really doesn't need the support.

    I would think that as soon as she has good head control, you'd be good to go having her sit up! Watch her and make sure that she does okay sitting up like that for a longer period of time, but I'm sure it would be fine :)

    Is there an 'official' or 'recommended' guideline that anyone's aware of? You know, like how there's a 'recommended' guideline for how long you should breastfeed for; how long baby should share a room with you; when baby can start solids; etc?

    We also have the cm gt. We have had ds sitting up (not all the way up, I'd say half way up) since about 5 weeks when he was whining a bit because he couldn't see. His head would fall to the side a bit so we got a snuzzler and just use the head piece to support his head n the stroller. He loves sitting more upright in the stroller.
