Just left the restaurant. :(

DS usually does so good when we go out to eat. Tonight......I didn't even want to go out with my in laws because they have been in town all weekend & we've been so busy all weekend. DH, friends & I went out last night (rare occasion) and today I'm exhausted and I have work to do at home. Anyway, I agreed to go out for a late dinner, DS was tired and throwing a fit. I left with DS before the food even came out. None of my tricks were working, but I don't blame him. I didn't want to be there either. I'm sure my in laws thought I'm terrible because DS couldn't make it through dinner. Ok, just had to get that out...

    eh I wouldn't worry about it, kids get tired just like us, and good on you for just getting up and going home - better than pushing on and dealing with tantrums just because of overtiredness in a restaurant
