Gates?

DD is crawling and the only gates we currently have are the cheap, pressure mounted ones that you have to take down or climb over and we got them to keep the dogs contained.  I do not want to use them and they're not terribly stable.  I'm looking for recommendations for pressure mounted gates with doors for slightly larger openings (one is 43", the other is probably close to 6').  It's just for separating rooms, I'm not ready to get one for the top of the stairs yet.  Any suggestions?  TIA!

Re: Gates?

  • We have the dreambaby walk through, self closing, pressure mounted gates. We have 3 of them situated throughout the house.  Highly recommended.

  • The Munchkin Protect autoclose gates are awesome, i have 3 of them. Whatever you do, stay away from summer infant, the one i have is horrible and my 17mo can open it.

  • I second the Dream Baby walk through gates. We have the extra tall one and it kept our cat from getting into areas as well. Very sturdy and comes with enough extenders to cover a decent area.

  • my concern - can you use pressure mounted gates at the top of stairs?
