I got all my meds last night! I put them all away and then decided to make sure I was organized. I put everything on the kitchen table, went through the prescriptions, needles, etc. I made sure I knew what to take when. Then I went to bed. Oops! I left my low dose HCG and cetrotide out on the table (not in the fridge). Called the pharmacy...low dose HCG okay. F'd with the cetrotide. I just wasted $260 worth of meds. I had a complete meltdown this morning. Luckily, DH was super supportive and reminded me that I just found out yesterday that I got a raise. Not the point...but I'm trying to have a better outlook that money isn't important. I still hate how f'ing expensive IF is! And still mad at myself!

What's your dosage?
I found this on a pharmacy website:
Cetrotide 0.25mg - Store refrigerated (36-46?F). Store in original box. Use immediately after reconstitution/mixing.
Cetrotide 3.0mg - Store at room temperature (68-77?F) excursions permitted to (59-86?F). Store in original box. Use immediately after reconstitution/mixing.
It's exactly what my meds storage sheet from Caremark Specialty says, too. (I just got meds delivered on Thursday).
Even if you do have the lower dosage, I would talk to your nurse and explain that it was delivered refrigerated and then accidentally left out for ~8-9hrs and see if it's still ok.
FX for you!

Thanks! I do have the smaller dosage and called the pharmacy. I spoke with a pharmacist and they confirmed "no good." It has to be continually refrigerated. I thought about calling the nurse but I know the pharmacist knows better than RN. DH and I decided we would not like to chance it not working and potentially mess up the whole cycle. The money is minimal in the grand scheme of things. Lesson learned! :
I'm so sorry. Ug, I would have felt the same and reacted the same. It sucks when insurance doesn't cover the meds and they are so spendy.
I am glad that DH was sweet about it. That always helps.
