Anatomy ?
I know this is a little late being posted but ?
I had my anatomy scan/ultrasound preformed on Thursday - October 18th! Founding out that we?re NOT having the little girl we (I) so desperately wanted this time! Well; I sat down, when I got home - crying! When hubby came in I was still ?glassy-teary eyed? as he asked what?s wrong ... I told him he was being daddy to another SON - he looked; then taking me in those big arms of his saying in the sweetest voice any woman could ever hear; ?well that just means we?ll have to try again (OR) as I suggested a few months ago - ?go for an adoption? either of a baby girl or one a few years old.? Now what do you say to that?
This time I heard what he said; because, he asked again using almost the same words (word-for-word) as before! I said ?YOU MEAN ? YOU REALLY MEAN IT? he said YES! Going on to say he?d contact his attorneys? in the morning to see if they could get the ball rolling. I asked him the next morning if he ? he looked - saying YES as soon as their office opens - he?d not forgotten what he?d promised the evening before! He made the call so we?re waiting on some word from them!

Seriously?!?!?!?! Because being excited and thankful for a baby on the way is MUCH toooo much to be excited about (sarcastic voice)I don't mean to be rude-- but planning an adoption while you're pregnant just because you want a girl seems like all the wrong reasons to adopt a child.......

No this is BS. It's either A) MUD or
extreme gender disappointment which is BS in and of itself. Your baby is healthy and the only thing you can focus on is whether it has a penis or not? I, and plenty of other people, don't get the hang up when it comes to sex or gender.
Exactly. And can you imagine someone SERIOUSLY planning an adoption while they're pregnant solely because they want the opposite gender....

I'd love to see the face of the person doing the home study at the adoption agency when she gets the application...."We have 5 sons, pregnant with the 6th, and really just want a girl. Can we pick one up?"
It's not like people can just go and adopt kids (unless it's a privately arranged adoption) - there's a huge application process involved, whether it's an adoption agency or through the state department of child services. I doubt these wackadoodles would be approved, given their reasoning.
This exactly...plus there are MANY women out there trying to get pregnant and would LOVE to have a baby no matter what sex it is. It took DH and I 1 1/2 years and posts like these make me upset. Why can't you be happy for the little miracle you are carrying? I can see MAYBE a few minutes of 'oh I really wanted a girl' but seriously ...
Except that the REAL point of adoption is to give parents to a baby not just to give a baby to people who want to be parents. I don't think I would have the courage to adopt and I agree that it is selfless...but doing it to get the sex of baby you prefer definitely takes a HUGE chunk of selflessness out of it.

OP, sounds like you had better run out right quick to the baby girl store and pick one up before they sell out!! Or next time, try doing it missionary style. Everyone knows you do missionary for a girl, doggy style for a boy. Duh.
