So Confused...Please Help

Ok...so I'm having computer problems and can't seem to post my chart...but was hoping someone would have some thoughts on what is going on. Here's the background.

Had a D&E at 8 weeks on September 20th. HCG was at zero on September 27th. Doc said we could start trying as soon as we were ready. We decided to not "try" until after first AF...but also said we were not going to prevent either. I decided to get back to temping, cm, and opk just to keep an eye on things. According to FF, opk, cm, and temps today I am 16dpo.

I have NEVER had a LP this long. Longest I ever had in the past was 13. Since we didn't prevent (BD once around ovulation) I did test yesterday afternoon and tonight...BFN.

I am just so confused. My temps are way above my coverline and I have NO SYMPTOMS that AF is coming. I was so nervous about waiting forever to O and was so excited that it happened soon after D&E...but now I am more confused then ever.

Anyone have any insight? At what point should I consider calling my doctor?

I had my m/c over 6 weeks ago and still haven't seen AF. My doctors office said if it isn't here in 2 more weeks to call. 8 weeks seems to be pretty standard if you haven't had an AF after a loss. HTH

My first AF post m/c was a 7 week wait. I never "felt" AF coming.

Your body needs time to re-adjust.

I understand what you guys are saying...but I def O'd. Had the positive OPK's, CM, and raise in temp that hasn't gone down. I wouldn't be freaking...but from what Im reading...it's not normal to O and then have no AF? Right?

It's tough to tell without seeing your chart. With that said, sh!t is cray after a loss. My chart makes absolutely no sense right now, either.

As frustrating as it is, what you are going through is normal. I felt AF coming for a while, and then I didn't. I had every MF symptom in the book. Then I didn't. My skin is out of control, and I have no idea what the heck is going on. Just try to relax. POAS once a week or so until you get a BFP or AF. If 8 weeks comes and you still have no AF, call your doctor. I know how you feel, I'm dealing with something very similar right now, and I agree that it is frustrating.

If you REALLY did ovulate around the 5th and AF hasn't shown AND tests are negative my guess is that you have a persistent corpus luteum cyst but it's not usually considered "persistent" unless it lingers a little longer. 16 dpo is still well within normal for a luteal phase and like the others mentioned, your cycles might be a bit wonky. A cyst would produce progesterone and keep AF away. The good news is that it will go away on it's own. I'd wait a few more days and if AF hasn't shown and tests are still negative, give your doctor a call.

Same here. 7 wks+, no AF. Trying to hold out for 10 weeks, since that seems to be the max "normal." The whole situation sucks all around, but I hope you get AF or a BFP soon.

Sorry for all this frustration!! I would probably call the doctor in a few days if there is no AF. GL

Your cycle will change after a loss, a d&c or d&e. I have ovulated 2 or 3 times since my d&c on 06/26 and I still have not had a period. But I'm having some complications so I hope that it is not the case with you and you are just having an off cycle. I hope AF comes for you soon! Hugs.
