people who use weeks to measure their child's age, past 6 weeks or so. I'll give you 8 weeks if your baby is extra cute.
I thought it was just my one crazy friend and her weekly photo shoots but I have noticed it more and more among my FB friends. One girl just posted a picture of her kid captioned "32 weeks and 4 days." Seriously? Get a life.
Re: I judge
I admit I counted weeks until about 12 weeks. Also I admit that I went to an adulkt party and I'm pretty drunk.
But also my baby is cute so I get extra weeks.
(everyone's baby in this thread is extra cute btw))

This exactly. I only knew because of the class after that I lost track!
What if you stopped counting weeks around 8 or 10 weeks, but started using weeks again at about 50? In my denial that Lily was actually going to be one year old, I started saying she was 50 or 51 weeks old for a while there because if I said 11 or 11 and a half months it brought up the fact that next was one year. Using weeks just made people laugh.
I think a big part of it is because of sites like this one and apps that keep track of your weeks during pregnancy. Without that stuff, nobody would know that they're 21 weeks pregnant or whatever and would just estimate by month. But then you're in the habit of going by weeks when your baby arrives.
Also - *weekly* photo shoots? As in, she posts these and is doing them like most people do month photos?

Yes. She has a little studio area set up in her house and she does them herself. It makes me gag. But I guess when you go from being a coked out hor to a SAHM your days might seem a little dreary.
Wow, that's major overkill. We have a crazy number of photos of Lily (like, at least one from every day of her life until she was about 6 months or so) and if I got my parents' and brother's photos of her it would be absolutely insane (my mom probably takes 1000 during a two day visit, no exaggeration), but what I post for other people to see is quite selective. Posting a weekly shoot is definitely excessive.

I stopped counting at around 12 weeks, because thereafter was it's-been-12-weeks-since-I've-slept age.
I had a friend who had pictures professionally taken monthly the first year, and she gave us a wallet size of her son every single one of those months. It was most definitely unnecessary.
OMG. Newsflash lady, other people don't love your baby as much as you do. =/
She was also one of those "vote for my kid" posters on fb during the Gerber contest. I mean, every. day. I would also get text messages, phone calls, and in-person reminders to vote. I didn't vote once. My irritation surpassed the desire to vote for her kid.
