Expecting and live in San Jose area?

Hi Everyone,

I am new to the bump! Just found out recently I'm pregnant and I'm almost 5 weeks along now

Any others that are in the south bay area?

Also- does anyone have any information on El Camino Hospital in Mountain View? How is the Maternity program there? Has anyone given birth there before and your experience!

thanks!!

  • We are in Santa Clara and both DS1 and DS2 were born at El Camino.  DS1 was a typical vaginal birth and DS2 was a scheduled c-section.  Both experiences were positive and we'll be back there in December to have DS3.

  • We're in south SJ and getting ready for our first, a girl.. No experience with El Camino, (obviously.. since we haven't even pushed 1 out yet!), but I'm currently with Kaiser, so going to be delivering at the Santa Teresa Kaiser.. We've made one unplanned visit to the labor & delivery unit so far and were really impressed.

  • I live in North SJ and delivered last June at El Camino Hosp in Mountain View.

I had a good experience there. The labor and delivery staff were great!

  • Hi! I'm in Sunnyvale and I will be giving birth at el Camino Hospital as well! This is my first so the only experience I have is the tour we did last week which was awesome and my SIL had both her children there and both were great experiences.

Plus I have a friend who works in the lactation dept there.

  • Hi ladies.

I'm new to the bump and somewhat (one year) new to the area. I'm due May 2013, and like many of you will be delivering at El Camino. This will be our first child. I'd love to hear any great resources for San Jose moms-to-be to meet. DH and I haven't met a lot of people since we moved.

  • Hey ladies --

I'm new to the bump and live in Los Altos area. I'm due June 2013.

I'm a Kaiser member...so I'm assuming (if my insurance doesn't change from now until then) I will be delivering at Kaiser in Santa Clara.

  • Hi everybody!

I am a first time mom living in s. bay as well. I will be delivering at Santa Clara Kaiser. I am actually closer to the Santa Teresa Kaiser but will be traveling to the SC Kaiser based off of my 2 cousins' phenomenal experiences there. I am not to educated on other hospitals in the area, though. Best of luck to everybody! It will be nice to keep in touch and communicate with other moms in the area!

  • I'm in San Jose and plan on delivery at El Camino in LG.  My doctor highly recommends it and we already did our tour of both El Camino and Good Sam.  While both were nice, I'm going with my doctor's recommendation and I had a recent surgery there which was a good (well, as good as surgery can be) experience.
