Bath Time

LO loves being in the bath. She kicks and laughs and if she was upset prior she calms down as soon as we put her in.

 Taking her out is another story.

right after we take her out, we wrap her up and then get her dressed. She freaks out as soon as she is taken out of the bath. what are we doing wrong?

Audrey is going to be a big sister!

    How warm is your bathroom?  Sophia loved her bath but would start screaming as soon as we took her out.  We finally figured out she was chilly!

    DD used to do this also.  We tried to make it warmer, tried a different fluffier robe, etc.  That didn't really help.  One day, she just stopped crying when we took her out.  I have no idea why.  Sorry, I'm not much help.

    Maybe she just really loves the bath, or maybe she's cold? DD used to do that too, but she seems to have calmed down. We towel her off and put her under a little heating fan ASAP, and dress her by the fan.

    My DD used to do that too - honestly, I think it was just the dramatic change in sensations - from warm and wet to cold and wet.  I think it was a hard thing for her to process.  That, and bath time happened at the end of the day when she was tired... resulting in a bit of a meltdown.

    DS loves the bath as well! He used to scream as soon as we took him out the water and I assume it's because he hates being cold, but now when we take him out- he's real chill. He laughs when I put the lotion on him and get him dressed in pj's. It does get better!

    She probably just doesn't like being cold.
