S/O Formula checks

For mobile: S/O Formula checks

I followed all the rules before having LO. Signed up on all the diaper sites and formula sites (both Enfamil and Similac) to get coupons and myself on their mailing lists. We're using Enfamil and since LO was born have gone from the regular, to Gentlease, to now ProSobee (a Nutramigen switch may also be imminent).

I've gotten a couple of Similac checks in the mail (gave them to a friend using, but am happy to share future ones to this group to spread the 'wealth'), but NO checks or samples or anything from Enfamil. Did I do something wrong? I do remember someone saying to fill out on the forms that you are breastfeeding (I was FF from the beginning and specified as such). If I had done that, would I be getting sample checks from Enfamil?

Just trying to figure out if my SIL or someone with a different address needs to become "pregnant" so I can get my hands on some of those valuable checks! TIA if anyone knows...I'm actually surprised I'm not getting them.

Re: S/O Formula checks

  • I filled them out as I was going to bf but that was my plan. I get them from gerber, simlac and enfimil. We really only use the simlac ones and use the others as back ups really. Jason isn't bothered by switching formulas. Braidon on the other hand is doing best on Similac spit up.

  • It seems counter-intuitive to say you are BF if you are FF, but I guess they are wanting to market to the audience that might be on the fence vs the for-sure audience...?

  • I signed a few different people up all with different due dates. I did the same with DS never paid full price for formula. I do have to say they sent more checks out daily 6 yrs ago then now.
Just wanted to let you know to check with your insurance if they switch LO to nutramigen because they more cover a percentage of it being its "medically necessary". Mine covers it at 90 we just had to submit a letter of medically necessity.

  • Call them up and ask a question. I did that with Simliac (I had a legit question about the difference between ready to feed and powder Alimentum for MSPI).  They ended up sending me samples of Alimentum--which is super expensive-- and a bunch of coupons.  I think no one calls, so when someone does they get super excited.  You could also call and say you are concerned b/c you haven't received any checks so you are switching to Similac Stick out tongue.  Also, sign up everyone who is willing to get checks for you.

  • I have some Enfamil checks. Not sure what kinds they are good for, but I could check. Let me know if you need them and PM your address and I can send them to you. :]
