Moving to Washington

My hubby is in the Navy and they just moved us to Nevada in March. My daughter Francesca was born in April with a minor heart condition. DH just found out today they no longer want us here, and it's off to Washington we go. Oh well! Really don't want to move 21 weeks preggo, but if it's for Frankie then okay.

    Aw, welcome!! :) I am due March 10th and live in Washington...I love it here. I'm sorry that you'll have to move in the middle of your pregnancy and I hope it'll be a smooth transition.

    I am guessing because your DH is in the navy that you'll be stationed in Whidbey Island area? If not, do you know where about Washington you'll be?

    Yup, Whidbey it is. lol I am looking forward to it and I wish I could leave this dump now. lol I already started applying to jobs at the hospital there.

    I live in WA too have my whole life.  I live in a community with a TON of navy families who work out at Whidby.  There are great places to deliver here as well :-)

    Whidbey is really nice especially during warm days. I have a friend whose husband is in the navy and she lives there and she just delivered her first child as well.The ferry ride to the island is 15 minutes (I was just there last month) and then I live about 20 minutes from the ferry station.

    I've just now started reading/lurking the nest and mostly read this board. If I can be of any assistance please let me know. :)
