Just wondering if anyone has used this carrier and can recommend it (or warn me away from it); there's a really good price on them here in town and I'm wondering if it's worth my money or if I should just save up for a Boba 3G.
The Sync is quite different from the Sash and both are quite different from the Boba. The sync is kinda odd to me - it's a strange little hybrid! I think if you like the idea of the stretchy wrap part, I'd just get a stretchy wrap (or something like the k'tan). The Sash (which is a mei tai) - is actually quite a decent budget carrier that will last you at least through the first year. The Boba is a great buckle but IMO it sort of sucks for newborns. The latest generation does have a snap down feature to make it fit newborns but it doesn't stay well in my experience. I also prefer a carrier that you can wear a newborn legs out it - and you definitely can't wear baby legs out in the Boba until probably 3-4 months. My siggy has more babywearing info if you are interested. HTH!
Thanks, that's awesome. I think I'll pass on the Sync, since I already have a moby. We are going to do a carrier trial program (Ergo, Boba, Maya wrap, etc.) once LO arrives and we are at 8-9 pounds or so.
Re: Infantino Sash?
Oops, sorry, the carrier I was referring to is the Infantino Sync comfort wrap carrier. Sorry!
