Is this normal?

I got my TDAP and flu shot yesterday at my OB appointment. Ever since then I feel like I am constantly nauseated and my left arm hurts like big ole b-word. This is normal yes? Cuz, it really sucks. I couldn't sleep last night either. My left side is my good side.

I believe it's normal.  If I remember correctly, the TDAP is a thicker syrum so it hurst like a mother, but should be better in a couple of days.

It felt gross yesterday. Now I can't lift it past a certain point without my whole arm going weird. Oh well, the things I do for my baby.

  • Just watch it. I got a big infection from the TDAP. The injection site was huge and I got sick.

  • Yes, and they put it in your strong side because the more you move it, the better the solution moves through and out of your arm, so they put it in your more active arm.  I know it hurts, but keep moving it!

That is weird. I'm right handed, but she put it in the left arm.

  • Yes, it's normal. The pamphlets I got said side effects last 24-48 hours and include general malaise (feeling icky) and pain at the injection site. You can take Tylenol if it hurts.
