After hearing so much about morning sickness and all the unpleasantness of early pregnancy, I haven't had any yet! I'm totally ok with this fact as far as how I feel, but I occasionally get nervous that something's wrong (and even more nervous that it will start!). I keep hearing that morning sickness is a sign of healthy pregnancy, and I won't have my first OB appt for another 4 weeks because I'm on military health care and they don't schedule anything early.
I'm 8 weeks so far... anyone else NOT having morning sickness? Should I be worried or just thank my lucky stars and pray nothing starts?
Re: Don't hate me but...
Good to know, thanks. And so sorry yours is bad! I hope you feel better. My mom told me in the past that hers wasn't too bad but I do know she had it. We aren't telling our parents until Thanksgiving, though, so can't ask her for a refresher. :-/
Again, thanks for the reassurance. I thought at first that maybe it was too early, but as time went on, still nothing. I keep having to remind myself that I'm pregnant! I did spend one day on the couch because the room wouldn't stop spinning, and had a couple shorter dizzy spells, but that seemed to be the extent of it.
I posted almost the exact same thing a few days ago. It was reassuring to hear that not every pregnant woman gets m/s, and that it's not necessarily a big concern if you don't have it.

Mine hit at 8 weeks but I wouldn't call it bad compared to the stories I heard from my not-so-lucky friends. Mostly I just feel queasy, kind of like motion sickness) and it would only happen in the morning or evenings (mostly evenings though). There was ONE day that I actually did throw up, and unfortunately it was less than ten minutes after taking my prenatal vitamin. After that it was all dry-heaving though. I thought I was over it, but last night it reared its ugly head again (probably baby didn't like the onions in my hamburger or something). No puking, just heaving and queasiness all night. Just be happy you're one of the lucky ones, and if you DO feel a little queasiness or have an unfortunate trip to the bathroom, just make sure to drink lots of water, fruit juice (it brings up blood sugar without upsetting your tummy) and if you can handle it, nibble on some crackers. Hopefully, even if you get it this month, it won't be so bad and won't last too long.
