Hello!
So, I'm not pregnant or 35 yet....however, I am over 33 and by the time I (hopefully) get pregnant with #2, I will be 34 giving birth at 35, if not 35 when I get pregnant. So, my question is, do they still treat 35 as being "advanced" maternal age...meaning, all the extra checkups, sonos, specialists, etc? What can I expect from being pregnant at 35 vs. my first pregnancy at 32?
TIA! Congratulations and H & H pregnancy to all of you!!
Re: Rookie Question
The official medical term for us is "Geriatric"- if you are a FTM, you are a "Geriatric Prima Gravida." Sounds impressive eh? LOL!
Seriously? Geriatric?? Sheesh, it's not like I'm using a flippin' walker or anything. I will be 42 when I deliver, but not by a whole lot.
Over-40 parents...what we lack in vigor, we make up for with cunning.
Hahahhaa. 35 this past August. That's cute...You're still a puppy!!!
Kidding aside, a big giant CONGRATULATIONS to you and everyone posting here. Wishing everyone nothing but health and happiness! That is comforting to hear.
This is my first pregnancy, and I am 37. Will be 38 when I deliver. I do not feel that old - at all! (Geriatric - seriously? Wow.)
I have not announced yet, but I have heard two expecting announcements from friends this week. Both 37. I do think it's a lot more common these days.
