We had LO's 6 mos checkup yesterday and I shared my concern of him not really rolling. He's done it a few times but not often or consistently. He is sitting though when you put him in a sitting position. She said that shows that he has good core strength and is developing his gross motor skills right on track. Some babies just sit, or even crawl before they roll, and that is just fine. Anyway, thought I'd share that because I know I'm not the only one who has worried about it.

Re: Peace of mind for those with nonrolling babies
My LO rolled for about 2 weeks at 4 months and hasn't since then, babies are strange!
She also doesn't laugh, so I'm interested to see what the pedi says at her 6 month checkup, I hope those two things don't matter too much.
I brought it up this week too and my pedi said similar things about core strength and sitting. She also said that some reflux babies don't roll and go straight to crawling to escape from tummytime.
He also rolled a few times between 3-4 months but not since. Pedi was not concerned but I asked her to check his hips and she said they were fine
