Infant insert Q and an OT vent

First, the vent...I can't freaking STAND Harry Potter and DH has been watching every damn one that has been on tv for the last 2 days.   I want to punch Harry Potter in his face.  And, I want to punch the lady that wrote the books thus creating a need for movies.  (Ditto for the Twilight   author)

 Now for the insert question:  How many of you are still using the infant insert in your carseats?   DS is 6 weeks tomorrow and as of a weigh in at 1month and 1day, he was 10lbs, 11oz.  I'm assuming he is well over 11lbs now and the base of the carseat says that babies need to be in the infant inserts until 11lbs.   Should I go ahead and remove it or is 11lbs more like a "minimum guideline" type thing?

    What kind of carseat are you using? The insert that came with my snugride is only for babies under 7lbs. DD was born over 9 so we never used any kind of insert.

    Hysteroscopy #10 - scar tissue grew back reblocking my right tube
    #11 or IVF with scarring still inside?
    1 lone embryo from September 2016 retreival, dx with Trisomy 16, starting fresh

    Chicco Keyfit 30.   The sticker said 4-11lbs (I think...that 4lbs business may not be right, but I can't remember for sure. )

    I have the Britax Chaperone and was begging to wonder the same thing.  DD was 9 lbs 6 ozs at her one month appointment on 10/8 so I am assuming she's beginning to creep up on 11 lbs? 

    It says I have to move something, I am honestly still trying to figure out what.

    In have KF30 and was wondering the same thing. My son weighed 12 pounds 6 oz (two months old today) today but he looks like he still fits in the nb insert. ??

    This made me LOL.   I have no idea how to remove the insert either.  *sigh*  They make these baby things Parent Proof, I swear.
