housewarming gift

So my bff is now a single mom working full time on a tight budget and I wanted to get her a housewarming gift she can really use. I was thinking of a crock pot but I know she doesn't find it easy to plan ahead enough to set it up before she leaves the house in the morning, so i also though of freezing a couple bags of ingredients for meals so she can just throw them in the pot in the morning and they'll be ready when she gets home.

My go to crock pot recipes mostly are made with carrots and celery so that wouldn't freeze great. Any suggestions for what will freeze well and be well balanced?

    I am absolutely no help because I am terrible at this kinda stuff, and I never use my crock pot.  But I just wanted to say, that is really thoughtful and you are a really good BFF.

    What a great idea, you're a great friend!

    I would do more of a meat type freezer bag. Like chicken with some kind of sauce.

    I think there's a few pins on Pinterest of freezer crock pot meals.

    Maybe you could make a couple of different soups?!? Potato, beef stew, tomato, chicken noodle, etc?!? Since the weather is nice?!? Make them and freeze them, then she can just take out and put in the fridge and then later put in a pot and reheat... Or maybe that morning put in the crockpot.
