This is so early but I'm sure some of you have already been thinking about what kind of party you will have, theme, food, all of that. Share your ideas, I would love to hear what you are doing!
I am a pink lover so DD is going to have a "Pink Party" I have the decorations figured out, tons of pink balloons and streamers. But I have no idea what to do for the food. I am inviting about 25 people so I want to do something inexpensive. Any suggestions?
Re: First birthdays parties, what are your ideas?
We don't have many people to invite so I don't plan on doing a whole lot.
I'm glad I'm not the only one excited about this!
I love to have parties and am planning a huge party for his 1st birthday. I haven't thought of a theme yet but for now maybe dinosaurs. (He roars/growls like a dinosaur and it's hilarious) He is being a dinosaur for halloweeen though so not sure
I was trying to say I love this! also the disney theme, all of them are too cute, I might be re thinking mine.

probably we won't do a party. I'm not very good at planning stuff like that and I don't see the point in 1st birthday party since she won't know what's going on anyway. It would just be a big expense. Maybe we'll have a party when she's 2.
Or maybe I'll change my mind when April rolls around... we shall see...
I'm also in the "no big party" club. My SIL has parties for her kids and invites all of the cousins, aunts and uncles, even though we don't get invited to all of her cousins' birthday parties. I feel like it's just a desparate plea for presents (from her, I'm not juding those of you having a party). My side of the family only celebrates with their immediate family as well.
So we'll invite my brother, his wife and kids, my sister, my SIL and her husband and kids, then both sets of grandparents. That's all we need. I don't think there will be a "theme," since it only ends up costing more money. We'll have food and a cake, and a good time will be had! We might do something special for my brother though, if he can make it (he lives 4 hours away). He and Micah share the same birthday.

Since DD's nickname is "Katy-Bug" I'll do a ladybug theme. Although I don't go too crazy since it won't be a big blow-out party---just family.
ETA: I will say that if it wasn't for the bump and pinterest, it never would have occurred to me to have a theme for a kid's birthday party other than "Birthday." That's the self-imposed pressure of social media for ya!
