to bring on labor? ?i really truly do not want to seriously consider an induction although i have to come up with a date after the 16th for my next appointment. ?so, here's what i've come up with:
raspberry leaf tea (gag), sex (not a chance in hell), spicy foods, and walking.
what else??
Re: what tricks can i use...
man juice smoothie
I stood outside for 3 hours for a bomb threat at work. Went into labor that night. But we also had sex
Someone told me that massaging some part between foot & ankle will bring on contractions. Don't know if it is true or not, but sounds like the best excuse for a pedicure I've ever heard!
Good luck!
Soon to celebrate the day we met, even if the day before marks when we said goodbye.
i am with you on the sex thing. i am so close that my MW says she thinks sex will put me in labor, and i STILL cant do it. last time it so incredibly painful, it was like losing my virginity times 10. no way in hell...
have you tried the EPO?? i have been taking it orally (2 capsules twice a day) and I'm going to start doing it vaginally tonight and see if that helps.
I dunno what else to try...
um yeah, sex a few weeks ago was, by far, the most unpleasant experience ever!! ?it was awful. ?so, no dice there. ?
i haven't tried EPO... where do you purchase such an item??
I just bought it at the grocery store in the vitamin section. I'm sure all pharmacies would have it. It's supposed to "ripen your cervix" whatever that means. It comes in a capsule, and my MW said you can take it orally or vaginally. Not sure if one is more effective than the other, so I am going to try both.
I got my EPO at the health food store.
Also, I heard parsley can bring on pre-term labor, so I ate tabouleh for lunch. Its worth a shot!
Black and blue cohosh are also supposed to help, but I wouldn't do these without talking to your doctor first.
