**workout check-in**

How have your routines and workouts been this week?

I have a strained achilles tendon and it hurts like hell.  My half marathon is next Sunday.  I'm just praying that my short runs will be good enough to carry me until the race and keep me in shape and that I don't hurt it anymore.

Re: **workout check-in**

  • Ouch- I hope it heals quickly for you.

I'm still going strong with my gym routine. I really am starting to love the rowing machine...tomorrow is DHs Friday off so we will be going to the gym together :)

It's so funny that our DH's work for the same company and have the same Friday off.  DH is taking LO to get his flu shot tomorrow.

I know, small world :) that's great that they can have some father-son bonding time on Fridays. Mine is upset because I just reminded him that he has to get up by 730 for the gym.

Arg - that sucks! I hope it heals quickly. I haven't run at all during my taper week because of a bad head cold. My friend advised letting my body heal and that I wouldn't lose any fitness over a week. Could that same idea apply to your injury - to rest it over taper week? Or could that make it worse if it's not exercised...?

Sunday is my half marathon day. I just hope I can breathe through my nose by then.
