Have you seen the new Rock n Play?

There is a new Rock n Play coming out next year - but it is different. We have the original one and it was used daily. I am not sure how useful this would be especially since we have the mini Arm's Reach. What do you think about it - would you buy it? It is more expensive than the RNP sleeper but how is it better? Hmm.

    its like a cross between a bassinet, the original rock and play, and a pack and play. I kind of like it. If it has the same weight limits as our PNP I might buy one for the next baby and let them sleep in that. it seems a bit smaller than the PNP and much easier to travel with!

    I think it looks awesome but will be too late for me.  Since we will already have the RNP and a PNP.

    That is a good way to describe it. At first I thought they were changing it because of the concerns with it causing flat heat but that doesn't make sense since it is flat, lol. I guess they are just coming out with a new option that people will feel more comfortable using for nighttime sleep.

    You should be good with those two items. Our LO hated the PNP though so the arm's reach was a godsend.

    FWIW Our Dr told us that the incline actually contributes more to a flat head than a flat surface does, because laying on an incline places more pressure on the backs of their skulls.

    I kind of like it too. I think it might help with the transition to the crib better than the inclined one. I liked the original for the size and this one would work great.

    I would have bought it instead of the RNP. I have the deluxe rnp but don't use it at night because it causes chin to chest for my LO. It will be better when he gets older but by then he will be in his room at night. I pretty much only use it when I'm showering.

    I don't like it.  The picture was not that clear, but it looks like it rocks side to side instead of front to back.  My bassinet was like this, and as soon as DS starting moving in his sleep, he would slide to one side and be stuck against the side, waking him up.  It looks like the same thing would happen in this.
