First clomid cycle

I just got the call that test came back normal but I didn't ovulate. We will be starting clomid and I'm wondering if people can give me their experience with it. Do you always have a trigger shot? Hubby had normal sperm count but molaity sp and stuff was low. And low test. Any advice is welcome

    I used Clomid for 6 cycles with TTC #1 and I am  now on my 4th TTC #2. I think the longer I take it the worse the side effects are, or maybe it is that I am almost 38. Some women call the side effects the "Clomid Crazies" because it can really amp up your emotions and there are wonderful side effects like hot flashes.

    But don't let that out you off. I didn't ovulate, but when I take 100 mg of Clomid I do. We wouldn't have our son without it. And honestly it isn't too bad or I wouldn't do it every month.

    As for the trigger shot, we don't do one. My DH's SA came back normal so it isn't as beneficial for us.

    I used it when we were trying for DD (it worked) and when we tried before IVF.  I had a lot of anxiety on it, but I'm prone to that anyway.  It was the only time that I ovulated and I didn't use a trigger shot.  Thankfully, 50mg's worked for me.

    this is my 4th cycle on clomid.  It definitely makes me super emotional and gives me hot flashes.  i didn't use a trigger shot any of the previous cycles because we were just doing TI.  This month i will probably trigger because we are doing an IUI.

    i took it 50 mg for 2 cycles while i was in between my regular ob/gun and RE.  I had almost no side effects except more painful than normal ovulation, but i think i am in the minority with the no side effects thing.  we were just doing TI so no trigger shot.   
    TTC baby #2 since July 2011, DX: low AMH

    I just finished my first cycle of clomid 50mg no trigger shot. The only side effect I had was night sweats but that's about it. I will start my 2nd cycle next week. Good luck to you!!

    i tried clomid which i did with no trigger shot no luck. when I conceived my son in 2011 I did one cycle of clonid and trigger shot successful on first try, hubby sperm is good,
