This past weekend the cousins came to visit. LO found out that his older cousin is allowed to have Mt. Dew sometimes.
Today he told me that he talked to "his mom in California" and she told him that he could have every kind of soda he wanted. He is a wicked smart little stinker.
Re: Master manipulator at 4 years old!
I think every child, whether in a BF situation or not, plays the "my mom said" or "my dad said" card. When I am given this response, from SS or a child I am babysitting, I simply reply with something along the lines of "every house has different rules" and or "well they arent here right now and i am in charge." I dont know if it is a manipulation issue.

Except this is her bio child with her DH who doesn't have a mom in California.
Wow, LOL kids are so funny.
Ok. I guess I fail to see the manipulation in the post. Perhaps it was meant to be taken as a joke. Its hard to "hear" tones in writing.

It was a joke, but I could have added more detail. The funniest thing to me is that he's never heard SSs say anything like this. He understands about having two moms, but he came up with the "California mom said it's okay" idea all on his own.
