Need help. FTM trying to figure out the best baby tub to register for. I need something that I will be able to bathe the LO in when he is a newborn in the kitchen sink and then transition for when he is older. I was going to get the puj tub but I was reading people's reviews that said the tub only works in bathroom sinks and isn't very sturdy. What do you reccomend?
Re: Best baby tubs
Same here. we got it with DD#1 2 years ago and are using it now with DD#2. It's great, cute and not expensive. It's held up very well!
We set it inside our regular bathtub. DS didn't/doesn't slide around at all. The tub has an angled back with some padding to help keep LO from sliding side to side. The plastic insert prevents LO from sliding down.
We have the FP Whale Tub too, it's great. The first couple weeks, it took two of us to bath her then I got the hang of it. During this time, I found DD still needed one of us to support her head while in there (rolled up towels might have worked too). Tub doesn't slip though and I like using the kitchen counter because it was easier on my back.
I have also used one of those towel slings that sits in a infant bath. I actually found this easier at the newborn stage when on my own but drying out the towel each time was a pain.
We have the FP Whale Tub also!
Works great for the kitchen sink, and I've used it in the tub as well.
When he gets a little older and is able to sit unassisted, I'll take the green piece out from the middle.
A few friends recommended this one to us https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=12269377 because it will last until the baby is a couple years old and isn't very expensive. Obviously we haven't used it yet, but seems like it would be ok. I'm concerned about how much space it takes up, and had wanted to get something smaller and sleeker, but don't want to have to then buy another tub in 6 months or so.

I really want this tub! I think most Boon products looks so cool and I love that it will fold flat to store easily. I'm glad to see a positive review on it and thank you for the advice for the sponge!
I had a pink Fisher Price tub with DD and bought the Primo for DS that is due in March. I really struggled with DD sliding all over the place in the Fisher Price tub, even though it had a semi non-skid backing on the infant side. And then by the time she was big enough to sit on the toddler side she was too big for the tub. I really like that the Primo has the sides to keep him from sliding side to side as a newborn, and then it's bigger overall to last longer.
