Finally Got Switched to my new OB!

When I first got PG, it was totally unexpected. After we lost Grace in July 2010, we TTC'd like crazy for about a year and a half with no luck. When I lost my job, and therefore my health insurance we decided to give TTC a break. So of course, when I am jobless and insurance-less this past May, God decided it was time for me to get a BFP!

So, I had to apply for medical assistance, and in the meanwhile, had to begin prenatal care at our local hospital Women's Health Center. This is a group with 25+ doctors, mostly residents with a handful of supervising OB's. The care was adequate, but I could never see the same doc twice, and I really hated having to explain our loss history and everything we'd been through at every single appointment because apparently, reading a patient's history prior to seeing them is not a thing they do there. I also had a sneaking suspicion that my Natural Birth plan would be hard to have respected in this situation...

Anywho, FF to me now being insured (YAY!) and beginning to look for a new OB. I found one, and started the process of having all my records transferred over to them. 2 months later, they FINALLY got my records after sending the transfer request 3 different times plus I hand delivered one copy! So, I just got off the phone and have my first appts with the new 2 doctor, no resident, pro natural birth OB's set up! I am SO happy and relieved I can't even begin to describe it! Big Smile

Sorry for the novella, but I really wanted to tell somebody my good news and DH works construction, so no cell phone on the roof! Thanks for listening/ reading ladies!

Great news!! Good luck with your new doctors- it will almost seem like your pregnancy will go faster since your new appointments (that I'm sure you will look forward to instead of stress out about) will start half way through your pregnancy!!

That's great news. I am sorry it took so long but I am glad that you are getting it switched with a little less than half way to go. I hope all goes well with your New Doctors.
