Evan Peters' ass aside, let's discuss AHS.
I mean, clearly his ass was the highlight, but what did y'all think about the rest of it?
I have no idea where it's going and I was not expecting aliens at all.
The "Play with me!" chick that accosted Lana on the steps was the scariest part to me.
Jessica Lange knocked it out of the ballpark. It took about two seconds for me to forget all about Constance and her southern accent.
The doctor is the absolute worst.

I read in some article this summer that the things in the wood are infantata-like creation/experiments of the doctor and yes, they are cannibals. Not sure if that's true, tho.
I thought bloody face was the aliens? I guess I thought that because I assumed EP's wife had been killed in the manner of the bloody face victims and that was why he was suspect. I could have that wrong though. I always miss something.
I don't know what to think about Bloody Face.
I mean, so far I'm relating to Kit as a wrongly-accused "good guy." Which means he probably is Bloody Face because that's not the obvious conclusion. Unless it is the obvious conclusion because the writer know that the viewers think that they're trying to mislead us.
It's like that scene in The Princess Bride when Vizzini is trying to determine which goblet holds the iocane powder. It makes my head hurt.
Good point. Although, Briarcliff Bloody Face circa 2012 is not necessarily the same person as outside world serial killer Bloody Face circa 1964.
Also, I felt that the first season was primarily creepy while last night was more frightening/scary.

I really think the things in the woods are the doctor's creations. I also think the thing that killed the honeymooners was one of his creations.
Idk if Kit is guilty or not, but he doesn't seem to be. Also, I can't stop calling him Tate.
This is what I was thinking, just because it seems the doctor is really into taking care of it and making sure it's fed. Not sure why the doctor would just let a cannibal monster roam free though.
Also, what was it that attacked the journalist? Why were there claw marks all over the walls of that room?

Let's talk about Sister Jude (Jessica Lange).
Should we like her or hate her? She opposes the psycho doctor and seems genuinely concerned about all the deaths. She's oddly protective of Sister Eunice even though she belittles her every chance she gets (much like the Constance/Addie relationship). But she also beats people on the reg, is a manipulative *** and a raging homophobe.
Such a complex character already.
And what was with the weird sex fantasy with her and the Father?
ETA: She is also against interracial marriage.
Here's my take on the whole thing. I came out of it very confused, and here's why:
The Tate character made me all excited in my lady parts. And I've never really been a fan of Adam Levine. Buuuuut, there's no bigger boner killer for me than a Baaaahston accent, so I just wasn't all that attracted to Evan Peters last night. One arm Adam Levine though? HOT DAMN. Mama like.

I agree with that, but you don't hear his accent when he's standing naked in the shower or during the sexy sex scene.

SO & both watched this show for the very first time last night. Neither of us are quite sure what to think of it yet. I'm not one to ever watch horror movies/shows & SO isn't sure he can handle the suspense aspect of it all. The more I think about it though, the more I am intrigued into watching at least the next episode. Hopefully SO will want to watch it again, too, since I don't want to watch it alone.
But you should still watch season one.
Interesting! I watched it for the first time and was completely terrified. That "play with me girl" is creepyasfuck, that microchip/bug thing scared the bejeezus out of me, and that doctor is awesome/scary all at once.
Jessica Lange is amazing and Sarah Paulson's lisp annoys me.

Fact- the "play with me girl/boy" is a "pinhead" as in, it's a disorder and not makeup. (in case ya'll didn't already know). It's unfortunate.
"Pinhead" is a term used to describe a cephalic disorder known medically as microencephaly or "small brain" in which the head fails to grow while the face develops normally, producing a child with a small head and a receding forehead. Microencephaly can occur due to a genetic disorder or to other maternal factors, such as alcoholism, diabetes, or German measles (Rubella), that stunt the growth of nerve cells in the brain of a developing fetus. Microencephalics may survive into adulthood but with associated problems such as retardation, dwarfism, and speech or motor disorders.
They used to perform in sideshows a lot.
