Maternity Photos
Has anyone done theirs yet? I am defiantly showing and I want to do them so much since I didn't get to do them with DD. I was thinking I might do them next month after I hit 20 weeks I am not sure yet.

I won't be spending money on maternity photos, and I didn't last time either. My younger brother is a photographer and took a couple shots of me for my baby shower pictures with DS, so he will do the same with this one. I don't see myself needing more than 1 or 2 anyway.
ETA: Also, I think that most photographers who shoot maternity recommend waiting until the 7th month, where you have a (usually) large bump without being swelled and fat-faced.
20 weeks isn't really the best time to do them. Most photographers recommend 30+ weeks at minimum. You want a nice BIG round belly.You won't be all that big by 20 weeks yet. Unless your going to do a progression shoot that shows your belly getting bigger month by month or something (these are really cool!) I have a gal thats doing mine at 36 weeks, I waited until 38 weeks to get them done with my first (baby came at 39 weeks so we were pushing it).

I was thinking of waiting but I want to do them as holiday card thing. I am not small I got the bump quick and you can see it. Took me for ever to notice since I see myself all the time but I keep getting are you having twins comment, this baby maybe the size of an onion but my body isn't. By time I hit 32 weeks with Kenley (DD1) I couldn't walk she was near 10 pounds coming out. I figure doing late November would be comfortable for me and I would be much bigger.
The photographer I have doesn't have a time set for it, she more or less works with her schedule and mine. I want mine out for Holiday Cards between Christmas and Thanksgiving. I already have the outfits picked out. Friend of mine did hers with her two kids and Hubby and she is a week ahead of me and you can so see the bump. her's turned out great. I think I more so want them as family photos since we have none crossed with Maternity.
We do family pictures every year for Christmas, normally as part of my photogs holiday mini-sessions, so the maternity will be incorporated into that. I want them to go out for xmas cards, so I may have to do them early than 30 weeks, probably 28. Which worries me since I am not that big just yet. My belly is really low.
I use a photographer that I went to High School with. She's absolutely fabulous and we use her for every occasion. She's done all my anniversary photos, did a big family session when my Mom came to visit from Scotland, and two weekends ago I had boudoir photos done to send overseas to my husband.
We have my maternity photos scheduled for January or February (depending on snow fall) since I want to have a really big belly for them as I don't feel I'm very noticeable right now unless I'm undressed. I really want to do some shots in the snow (or at least with it as a background).
We've also been talking about doing a maternity boudoir session since my husband is deployed and missing out on everything for this pregnancy.
I have scrolled through this thread for about 5 minutes now looking for a misspelled "maternity". Can someone please point it out before I start to think I'm just nuts?
