We are the opposite here. She is sitting, but not even attempting to crawl. She wants to stand up all the time so I wonder if she is going to skip crawling, she won't do tummy time either.
DD has been getting on her hands and knees and rocking back and forth for a few days now. Who knows how long that will last before she takes off! DS never did that (he was an exclusive army crawler! LOL), so this is new to me!
She's sitting a lot better but still loses her balance and hits the deck. When she is on her belly she pretty much moves her hands and feet like she is swimming lol. She knows they do something and move a lot but hasn't figured it out yet to get up on her knees yet.
LO does the same thing....looks like he is swimming But he hates tummy time even though they do it at daycare with him every day. He only wants to stand. My hubby was an early walker at 9 months so Im wondering if my guy will follow in his footsteps. Not even a hint of crawling going on.
Yes, I guess she is an early crawler. She's been crawling for a week or two now.
She's not the most solid sitter though. She doesn't seem to have a full awareness and can fall backwards easily. She is devoting all her energy to moving forward not sitting still I guess.
Now crawling is old hat, she is pulling herself up on things. What happened to my tiny baby...

He is getting close! He gets on all fours and rocks back and forth. He still has not rolled on his own though. he sits by himself and is almost crawling but no rolling.

This is us. Except she prefers to sleep on her tummy. My kid is fickle.

This is us - he's been rocking back and forth on hands and knees for 2 weeks now. When he tries to put a hand forward, he falls on his tummy. Soon!

We're the opposite: DD1 didn't crawl until 8 months and did the rocking for the longest time. DD2 started army crawling a month ago and she's close to traditional crawling. Never rocked at all.
Yep, three weeks ago today he started! He still doesn't sit the best by himself though...he'll do it for a while then fall over. They are growing up too fast

Maggie is army crawling all over the place. She's doing the rocking thing when she's on all fours, but she's cruising around as a little commando.
She's able to sit for short periods of time, but much prefers to stand.
