I'm drinking wine, watching The Cosby Show reruns on TVland, waiting for DH to get home. I ate 4 chocolate chip cookies for dinner :-)

I'm drinking insanely good wine and eating the truffles that I bought for my step-mom's birthday and forgot to send. The birthday is tomorrow, so now I'm also looking online for a place that will deliver flowers tomorrow. When did this become my life?

Teacher habit? Haha. My dh is working all the time too. I see him a couple hours a week and he has sunday off if I'm lucky. The pay check is nice though.

Lucky-my DH is salary. So all of this doesn't mean any more $, just gotta save the account from maybe being cancelled. Geesh, I'm sorry you have to do this with two kids. It's hard! It looks like he's going to have these hours for 6 weeks, too.

I just got back from an incredible dinner at Chambar with my coworkers. I ate moules frites, seared duck with gnocchi and goat cheese, and a parfait au lemon for dessert with a latte. Omg.

Now I'm watching tv (Dexter) and after this will go watch Intervention from bed!

1. At least we can be lame together.

2. I'm trying to find a way to justify to DH that I opened a REALLY expensive bottle of wine that we have been saving for a special occasion...for the last 5 years. I'm thinking of going with: You left me alone with our baby to raise by myself for a year, you're lucky it lasted as long as it did.

3. Sorry about your DH-work is overrated!

4. I don't know why you're writing in alphabetical bullets either when numerical ones are clearly better!

I've gotten use to it. He make the majority of his income in the 6 months during his busy season. I was a single mom before, I can deal with a little alone time. Sorry you're having to do it alone too. It's really hard on your family when a member is gone all the time.

Superego was good too, but I was running out of room in my case and I'm more of a white wine girl.

Have you been to the winery? They have a nice guesthouse there that my girlfriends and I want to go to next summer.

i have been! The guesthouse is gorgeous, though I haven't stayed there. Last time I was there on a stagette we stayed at the cabin with hot tub and trampoline on the La Frenz estate.

Sitting in my house peeved. Just got back from my parents house where my mom is still butthurt because SO and I are going on vacation to see friends and do something with Gator, and we just happened to be doing it when my moms makeshift family reunion is going on. We decided to take two and a half days from our trip to hang out with them. We have been saying its our vacation so we are planning everything according to the plans we want to make. My mom feels we should be spending the whole ten days with the family, except only half of the family is even going to this "family reunion". My family can never just make plans and stick to them so it becomes extremely stressful and half a day is wasted while ten people battle back and forth on what everyone should do, what time , and where. Holidays are the same way....they will change locations three times, change the time, forget who they told things to....it's a disaster. I also found out my mom made copies of Gator's birthday invite. I know why, because she wanted to send one to my grandma 8hrs away even though she can't come. I was going to send it to her after the party along with pictures and a note saying she was missed and we can't wait to see her at the "family reunion". But my mom felt the need to step on my toes and do it the way SHE wanted it done. So frustrating! Now she is bugging us to make our next big event our wedding....I told her I was sorry but my next big event will be my 30th birthday party.

I NEED WINE!!!!! Chocolate and wine!!!!

eating mini lorna doone's leftover from ds' party. haven't been able to sleep well lately...maybe it's the ds in bed & dh on the couch...gotta work on that. looking @ houses online.
