So, I gave Kate carrots yesterday, and it was a scream-fest at night. She woke up after a couple hours of sleeping, and she had the worst gas bubbles running through her. Finally she tooted and pooped, but you could tell she was uncomfortable.
Have you talked to your pedi at all regarding your concerns with feeding Liilian? I might call if this happens again tonight. I'm really at my wits end.
Re: **Katieh**
Oh poor Kate (and you) it is tough! I haven't talked to the pedi yet. Lillian is 6 months today and her 6 month appt isn't until Nov 2nd. I was going to give her some avocado tonight but the past few nights she has been real gassy. The only extra things she's had were the baby mum-mums, no purees. I know they are made of rice, could that be giving her that bad of gas? I was going to buys peas when I went shopping over the weekend but I looked at them and decided I wasn't ready yet.
I know this was intended for a specific person but I have to tell you I had a horrible experience with Carrots. DD screamed through the night, we tried a warm bath, massage, and finally had to give her a glycerin suppository which finally work thank goodness.
The poor thing was tooting and pushing and was obviously in pain. My pedi later said that carrots can be a constipator, well we know that now...
