Birthday present for a 3 yo

Hey ladies, DD's birthday is coming up an DH wants to get her a trampoline with the protective net. Is it too soon for something this big? She loved the one she played on a few months ago, and it would be entertainment at the party. I thought about renting a bouncy house but I could buy a trampoline for the price to rent one of those.

I was not allowed on trampolines when I was younger. One parent in insurance, one was a nurse. They both heard of WAY TOO MANY accidents that happened. Of course, I got on them anyway, and usually got some type of strain or bruise. Net or not, trampolines are not safe and never will be. DS will not be allowed on on them either. I am more comfortable with bouncy houses, as long as parents of the big kids keep an eye on them when they are in there with the little ones. But you still run the risk of kids getting kicked in the face or unintentionally pounced on. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer.
