Auntie - ADI

Hi, how are you?

At the end of this week, I'll be taking the ADI for my daughter, Chaos (age 3 years, 5 months).

We saw the child psych (a new one per seeking a second opinion, well regarded in our area as it relates to ASDs) yesterday and based on an assessment (not sure which one, but it showed that Chaos met well over 90% of the DSM IV criteria) so she recommended the ADI (She didn't think that she would be compliant for the ADOS).

Anyway, my question...what percentage of those (preschoolers) who (parents) take the ADI are found to have an ASD?

Any thoughts or advice when taking the ADI?

Thank you.

Re: Auntie - ADI

  • We're working with a pediatric neuro and will also soon be working with a pediatric neuro psych (per new psyc recommendation).  (on top of OT, PT, Speech, etc)

(through our previous psychologist) we've taken the Vineland a few times, most recently, her composite score was a 64.
This psychologist observed Chaos for an hour.  (and has read over other psych observation/assessments)
I'm quite (other therapist agree) sure that she would be non-compliant for the ADOS.
