Yes, I like my name. I like how I was named and by whom and even though people pronounce it incorrectly 99% of the time, the spelling makes it more unique.
I liked my name growing up because I was always the only Brittany (of any spelling). It seems to have become popular with people a few years younger than me, that isn't a huge deal, but Britney Spears has kind of made it undesirable to me. Also, I don't think that having a name that can easily peg my general age is doing any favors for my career. ETA: I think people assess that I am young before they even look at how capable I am.
I didnt like this about my name when I was younger, but in today's world of Google Im glad it's more common. It makes me harder to find/stalk in cyberspace.
I occasionally ran across other children with my name so either we had to go by Big/Little designations, by our last initial, or by some nickname. I hated it. My name itself isn't the worse, but I definitely have some associations with it that I rather not have.
However, MH says he finds my name very pretty and every girl he has ever gone out with has had some sort of variation of it (not that that does much for me...).
I like my name, Jenny. But my legal name is Jenny, not Jennifer. It's kind of annoying when people constantly double-check when I'm completing documents.
My name is uncommon and constantly gets mispronounced. I hated it so much when I was younger but I am ok with it now. But we did give DD a pretty common name.
I think it's beautiful! (DD's too)
I like mine, although I hate that my mom got inspired by the novel Rebecca. My middle name is from Jane Eyre. The joys of being a librarian's daughter. Named after a murderer...
My name is Sandra. Obv old fashioned(named after my grandmother) I HATED it until about middle school, then I liked it bc I was the only one and was unique:) I love my name now. My DD has a fairly common name but we thought it fit her.
I like mine, spelling and all. I just hate when people try to shorten it or lengthen it. I don't answer to anything but "Kristi." My brother's name is Chris, so I grew up listening for the rest of it in the back of my mind and ignoring them if they weren't talking to me. I have even had people insist that my name is short for Kristina... I have replied, "You wanna talk to my mother about that?"
