New to Charlotte - looking for other moms!

My husband and I just moved to Charlotte for him to attend graduate school at UNCC.  I'm staying home with our precious 9 month old.  I don't know anyone and am hoping to get involved in a mom's group or meet other moms!  We live sort of near the University (near Mallard Creek).  I'd love to hear of anything going on near us!

    Welcome to Charlotte!  I'm not part of any mommy groups due to my crazy work hours but I do love to take DS to all of the little festivals going on this time of year.  Today is the last day of the festival in the park at freedom park.  It's lots of great artists and yummy fair type food, super family friendly, and free!  I took DS on Friday and we are going again today!

    Hi and welcome! I am also not part of any mommy groups yet as our LO is due 4/30 but I am interested in joining one and meeting more people with children. Most of our friends in the neighborhood are married w/o kids. We are closer to Matthews.
