I've never heard of anyone being able to feel her baby move at this point, but I had a weird feeling earlier. For a long time (as in a few years) I've had fluttery feelings in my pelvic area and in other areas of my body (I know. I'm weird. I have some nerve problem I think.) But this felt more like a roll than a flutter. We went to the doctor yesterday and saw baby moving around like crazy! So I'm wondering if maybe by some miracle I've already felt it move. What do you think?

Not totally crazy!! If it's your second baby, there's an even greater chance what you felt could be your baby moving... but with a first baby, it isn't impossible to feel slight movement as early as 9-10 weeks.
On Thursday, my OB did an internal ultrasound and we saw the baby moving. Obviously, since it was an internal, the whole situation felt a little weird down there... but I asked when I would be able to feel it. The doc said I *could* potentially feel it now, but most likely wouldn't recognize it as movement. She said since my baby seems to be very active, I will most likely feel it earlier. She even suggested I lie perfectly still on my back before bed and read and wait for a "funny feeling" like butterflies in my stomach... I would describe it more like a tadpole twirling around! I felt it Monday night and ever since have been more aware of it. Mine feels different than gas (location and feeling), but it matches everything the doctor said.

At your next appointment, ask your doctor about it. Yes, it might be gas, but there is a chance it is the first signs of movement.
I second this! I have been feeling like I have a fish in my belly. And it definitely feels different than gas does. You probably won't feel the tiny twitches of arms and legs, but if baby is really squirming around then it's possible, if you're paying close enough attention.
Not impossible, but not likely. Especially if it's your first baby.
I didn't feel movement until 15 weeks with my daughter, and I think that's considered pretty early. The feeling was pretty distinct. The only way I can describe it is that it felt like a little muscle twitch. You know when your eye twitches? That's what it felt like (to me) but it was really low (down by my pubic bone). As the baby got bigger the feeling changed to more of a poking/kicking feel instead of a twitch.
That sounds so weird when I type it all out, lol.

It's not impossible. I have 3 kids and felt them at different times, the earliest being 12-13 weeks with my first. I was VERY underweight when I got pregnant, and I suspect that may have been part of the reason. The latest was with my middle, no movement til nearly 18 weeks because the placenta was anterior.
This is my first baby, for those of you mentioning that. But it's a really active baby.
I thought it could have been gas, but that usually just hurts and really feels like air moving through my system. It usually stops in my lower belly and if it's lower than that the feeling is more toward the back. The sensation I had was down low, in the front, and solid. It still could have been a twitch, but like I said before, it felt different from that too.
It's definitely possible. I love how people are diagnosing you with gas without having any idea wtf is going on with your body LOL.
Oh my goodness. Thank you for this haha. Some people are so matter of fact with it. My theory is either they think I'm stupid or they're jealous. That's why the answers are so short. I appreciate the ones, though, that say it's possible that it's baby movement but probably gas.
