New sooner due date! :)

I went to my first doctor's appointment with the BM and by ultrasound she is due on Oct 26th not November 5 which is the date based on her LMP! So I am excited. Later ultrasounds are not as accurate however, so she's due sometime between those two dates.  Either way, it makes me hopeful that she will give birth sooner rather than later and that this anxiety provoking terrible stressful waiting will soon be over.  Either way.  I really hope we become parents this time!  If not, we will not be the first family to have a couple of false starts.  That doesn't mean I want to join that club however! My heart goes out to everyone struggling through this process. Our BM is 1/2 my age so its not like we have tons in common - the conversations are stilted.  And I think she's angry about her choice, which doesn't make me feel better either. I worry she won't be able to commit to the decision at the hospital. She feels trapped by her current situation. Which, oddly enough, is how I feel. 

 I hope we all get through this with as much compassion and love as possible.

    Patience.  I know what you mean, we could be our EM's parents so really not much in common, but I try to sympathize with all of her drama and still appreciative of her making an adoption plan.  Fingers crossed for you that all goes well.

    That is exciting about a sooner due date, and I hope it gets easier to connect with the expectant mom, maybe after the birth?  She's probably going through so many emotions, as you must be too!  Please keep us posted, I hope all goes well for all 3 of you Smile

    Potentially exciting.. but you know how due dates go :)

    What's her situation?? Is a parent forcing her to place?  I hope not for her sake....

    I so admire you for your emphasis on compassion and love.  I hope it all works out and you are calling yourself a mom in just a couple weeks!

    Dx DOR, endometriosis, low sperm count 
    Clomid + IUI#1, #2 = BFN / IUI #3 = ???

    Laparoscopy scheduled December 2013

    The EM is 20. She doesn't have anyone she knows who can be a good parent to her child, and the bio dad is denying paternity despite the fact that they have another child together. She can't always afford diapers for her current child and struggles at low wage jobs. She is getting enrolled in school now.  So she feels forced into this choice by her situation not by anyone in particular... We just spent all afternoon yesterday with her and things are going more smoothly now.  So big sigh of relief there! Plus it's an open adoption so we are working hard to build a better relationship with her.
