December 2011 Moms

Okay, jumping in

I can't believe I have been lurking literally for over a year.  I have gathered so much from information and knowledge from you ladies and I think it is time to get involved.

Here is my info: I had an unmediated birth that lasted all of 3 hours on 12-10-11.  I gave birth to the light of my life Emily and have been a SAHM to her since.  She has blossomed into such a little person the last few months!  Walking, talking and making sure I know what she wants.   We are moving along with breastfeeding and have finally hit a good grove. I originally set a goal of 1 month and can't believe I am about to hit the 1 year mark!

I really look forwarded to watching our babies grow into toddlers over the next months.

  • Welcome :)  Our LO's have the same birthdate :)

  • Welcome!  I had a similar birth experience: unmedicated (we did Bradley method) which only lasted about 3 hours 15 minutes once my contractions started (it was around 6 hours 45 minutes total from the time my water broke).  Congrats on doing so great on breastfeeding!

Thank you :-)  What time was your LO born, Em was 1:59pm.  Can you believe they are turning 1 so soon?

Thank you!  That's crazy fast too!  Everyone was preparing me to be in labor for hours and I was shocked how fast it went.  From the time my water broke she was out in 45 minutes.

It's been a rough rode breastfeeding, but happy with were we are now. Thanks so much!

  • Welcome!  Always good to see another new face around here!  It's getting to be a ghost town these days as everyone has jumped to a Facebook group.  There are a few of us who still stick around :)
