Oy. First post partum workout

I ran about 10 miles a week up until I was 6 weeks preg...

Yesterday was my first pp workout at 6w2d pp and I barely made it 20 min. On the elliptical, ugh! I'm doing it 3x/week this week and next and then moving on to running. Hope this gets easier and I'm back to a 25 minute 5k soon. :

  • Good for you for getting out there and doing it! You'll only get better, don't worry about not being where you were before, you'll get back there before you know it.

  • I feel you!! I have ran 3 times now and am so slow. I am used to being at least a 9 min miler and now am sporting a sweet 13 min mile. I don't think the extra weight is helping any.

  • Good for you!  I can't wait to start working out again but when do you find the time?  Does your husband watch the baby while you work out?

    My first workout pp was around the 4w mark. I ended up pissing myself because my muscles are still all loose. First work out was a fail but since then its been better.

  • I revisited my Pinterest board dedicated to working out and being healthy tonight...  It exhausted me just looking at it.  I hope I'll have the discipline to actually do something to get my figure back.
