My LO is EBF and I'm a STAHM. The first 3.5 months of LO's life was extremely difficult and I've really let myself go.. He is going to be 6 months old tomorrow and our lives are getting much easier!
I'm starting to (finally) loose baby weight and I really want to get my hair done. I have very long medium brown hair and next Wednesday I'm planning on getting it cut like this https://pinterest.com/pin/104427285081028704/ and dyed like this https://pinterest.com/pin/107242034847645967/.
I also wear glasses but have ordered contacts that should be here within the next few weeks.
Will this be to drastic of a change for LO? I don't want him to not recognize me or to be afraid of me.
Re: Will Baby Still Recognize Me?
I don't think your baby wouldn't recognize you, the bond between mom and baby is too strong i think. it might weird him out but once you start talking to him and he realizes its you there shouldn't be a problem.
I would probably wait at least a week after getting your new hair before you switch to contacts just so it isn't so much new all at once.
Good luck! and I am jealous, I really want to try something new with my hair but i am too chicken!
Good idea on breaking up the hair and contacts. I'll do that.
I used to be to afraid to do anything with my hair but it's so much fun! Give it a try, if you don't like it it'll always grow back
Good to know. thanks!
Babies also recognize you by smell, so you are good! I cut my hair off (11 inches) a few months ago, and he just thought it was funny.
Lol, they are probably just hormonal and bitchy and all "Who is this newb posting this bullsh!t when she's not even pregnant?!?!?!"
Yeah we were like that once too, lol.

When Edie was born, DH had a pretty big beard. He kept it until she was about 4m old. When he shaved it, he sat her in her bouncer and had her watch because he was SO SCARED she wouldn't recognize him.
She did. No problemo.
my hair was green when DD was born (yes, green). then it was blonde and chin-length. the it was blonde and quite short. then it was brown. then it was red. now it's black. she looked a me a bit funny once it was black, but within a few hours she didn't seem phased.
and all those changes have just been in the last 6 months!
also, hubby has gone back and forth with having a beard and being clean shaven. she doesn't seem bothered by that either.
