Pregnant after 35
Happy happy update =)
Well ladies, it looks like DH and I can finally enjoy my pregnancy! We had a very detailed scan today with our perinatologist, and absolutely everything was great. All the anatomical abnormalities we had worried about - cleft palate, major cardiac defects, anencephaly, gastroschisis, renal abnormalities, club foot, etc., were absent!! Baby Haribo does have a small VSD which they hope will resolve in a few weeks. Will have to do fetal ECHO with a pediatric cardiologist, but otherwise, our little one is perfect. I did not realize how heavy a burden I had been carrying until after the visit. I feel physically lighter and am just so grateful. It is amazing to think where DH and I were just three weeks ago. We still have regular close follow up, but that just means I get to see Baby Haribo more frequently. Wishing all of you happy, healthy and worry free pregnancies!
