Please share with me some of your favorite Thanksgiving recipes. This is the first year I will be hosting Thanksgiving and I'd like some help/ideas on things to prepare. TIA
This turkey is the absolute best turkey I have ever had. It is also the easiest turkey to make because you don't have to baste it at all. So here is the link for it...
I also make garlic mashed potatoes, sausage stuffing, a chocolate meringue pie, and pumpkin pie of course! We usually also just have a green salad and canned cranberry sauce. I usually do a few snack foods early in the afternoon and have dinner around 6pm. We have to do everything gluten free (and possibly dairy and soy-free this year if LO isn't over his allergies yet) so I have special recipes and ways to accomplish that if you need that help at all. :-)
Have fun with hosting your first Thanksgiving!

I always make Green Bean Casserole. The recipe from the French's Fried Onion container. Our family loves it.
One year, I hated the idea of roasting a turkey so I made homemade bread and bought sliced turkey breast. I cooked up some gravy and we made Open Face Turkey sandwiches. My family still raves about those.
Turkey (duh!) Homemade mashed poatatoes and gravy Homemade Stuffing Green bean casserole Homemade rolls Corn Wet lettuce salad (not sure why we call it that, it is just lettuce with a homemade dressing of mayo, mustard and a little sugar and my mom used to put diced onions in it but i hate onions so no onions here) And we had apple and pumpkin pies and chocolate chip pumpkin bread
I also had veggies and dip and cheese and crackers for people to munch while i was still cooking

Sweet potatoes are my favorite! Boil to cook them. Cut them in half and lay in a baking pan. Drizzle maple syrup and brown sugar. Bake for 30 minutes or so. S yummy!

If you're making dessert too, this cake is awesome. I've made it a few times and it always gets amazing reviews. Since it's made from cake mix it's also pretty easy.
This is what I make every year for DH and the kids.
Turkey in a roasting bag or fried
Mashed potatoes and gravy
Stuffing, I only like Stovetop
Green bean casserole
Broccoli casserole
Sweet potato casserole
Corn
King Hawaiian rolls
Deviled eggs
A pie of some kind
