Do I really need one?

IMO no. I gave DS his bottles room temp or if I needed too I'd heat them to room temp in a pan of water on the stove.

No you don't.

We BF'ed for 2 months and then switched to FF and never needed one. We got DD used to room temp formula, or we just used the kettle to make it warm when we started using formula.

This is one of those items that very much depends on if you're bottlefeeding or breastfeeding, if your baby will take it cold or prefers warm, etc. I EPed, so I used bottles all the time. DD wouldn't take the breastmilk cold, so I loved my bottle warmer. Waiting around for a few minutes for a bottle to heat is a huge PITA when the baby is hungry. Especially in the beginning when you don't have a schedule down yet. Many here will say a cup of hot water will do just fine. Not for me. I'll pay for the bottle warmer any day. We switched to formula about two months ago and now we use room temp water. No need for the warmer anymore. So it really does depend on your needs.

all of this. the bottle warmer was a godsend when i was EPing and a cup of hot water took for-freaking-ever. i'd list my bottle warmer as my top 5 necessities during those first few months.

We used one and it was worth the $20 or whatever. I nursed until around 7 months and if it was freshly pumped he just took it at room temperature. BM that had been frozen/refrigerated he wanted warmed up. When he switched to formula I would make a pitcher in the morning so it was cold when I served it. I found it kind of annoying to heat water, wait, check it, etc. Sometimes I would wait too long and it would be too hot, or I would feel like I was standing over it checking and checking when I could have been doing something more productive. With the warmer I would set it, walk off, and it would be ready when I came back.

You don't NEED one but it came in handy for us. This is really more of a personal preference item.

I only use one when he's fussy I make a bottle and he doesn't end up taking it. I will put it in the fridge and heat up with the warmer when he does want it. We're not made of money so I'm not waisting formula. That being said he's 6 mths old and I've used it around 20 times.

I got one, and now I don't use it. I haven't noticed our LO fussing when the bottle wasn't warmed, so we stopped warming them. All bottles are at room temp.

I figured if I continued with the warmer, I was going to have to pack that damn thing in our luggage every time we left town!

We bf and he gets bottles while I'm at work. It's been a godsend. We got the kinde kozii. We will also use it to defrost his frozen homemade baby food so we plan on using it for at least a year

I bf, but I also formula supplement due to supply issues. I don't use a bottle warmer. I got LO use to room temp bottles. It just makes everything easier!

My daughter is 14 months and I still use mine 4 times a day. She won't take cold milk (breast milk, formula, or whole cow's milk, I've used all 3 at this point). We got the Kiinde Kozii. It's expensive at $70, but it's safe for breast milk and warms consistently, no overheating. It also only needs to be filled twice a week and you don't have to measure the water.
