We have a video monitor, but we don't use it because she sleeps with us right now.

we have an angelcare right now because he is right next to me but when he moves to the crib it will be angelcare + video

We have sound only and I use it only when I put him to bed for the night because I close my bedroom door since I need to turn on the lights and get stuff ready for the next day. Once he's in his room I'll use it in my room every night.

I bought a wireless webcam that rotates and it's awesome. I originally went with it because it is so much cheaper and you get more, imo. It's hooked up to our wifi and so it's more secure, and we can watch her on our computers and phones (so bigger screens than the $200+ baby monitors). The night vision is really good on it too.

With DS we had audio only and never used it because I could hear him. This time I really want video so it would grow with her (DS liked to rip his diapers off when he got older lol) and I could keep an eye on her with her reflux (and if big brother would go in her room lol).

We only have sound right now. When we get into a bigger place, we may get a video monitor.

we dont' use one yet as she still sleeps with us, and with all hardwood floors we can hear her during the day if we keep her door cracked. Once she starts being in her room at night, we'll probably just get an audio one.
