Another "It gets easier!" post

Just popping in to let you know that at 6 and almost 5 things are SO fun.

They play together great and are the best of buds. It's like having a play date all the time! Of course there are occasional squabbles but you learn quickly to avoid playing referee or it will become your full time job.

We recently watched videos of them as toddlers and while I do miss their cute voices and imperfect words I have to say that we are LOVING these ages.

There's a light at the end of the tunnel, ladies. You are in the trenches now but it gets so much easier!!!!

All the work 2u2 requires up front is paid back in spades with having a built in buddy later on down the road.

Thanks for this post. I needed some encouragement today. I have 2 boys 19mo. and 1mo. I can't wait until they can play together. I always thought I wanted 3 but I think I am done at 2.

DS1 and DS2 started to be "buds" when they were 4 and 2 1/2, by then DS2 had stopped his "destroy everything" phase so DS1 could play with him (rather than yelling at him for breaking things). Right now its nice because the two boys play together, and the two girls play together, unfortunately DS3 is in the "destroy everything" phase, but the boys are old enough to get him distracted so he doesn't ruin their stuff.

Thank you for this post. Although days aren't terrible now, they are certainly so chaotic. It's nice to know things will get better

Keep the encouragement coming!

We're at 3 and almost 16mon, and though they play together occasionally, they ignore each other/get frustrated by each other more often. I will say that it has gotten easier (though maybe not quieter!) as the months have gone on.

Thank you so much for posting this. I came to this board today because I am having the same concerns other moms are having while pregnant with #2. My LO's will be 18mos apart.
