XP: I Also Have a Follow Up Ultrasound Today

I could also use some spare T&Ps today as I am going to my MFM for a follow up ultrasound based on 2nd tri screening results.

Here is the background: The first tri blood work came back 1/32 for Downs. So I did the Harmony Test which looks at the three trisomies (through fetal DNA in mother's blood) and it came back 1/10,000. Then my MFM had me still do the 2nd tri blood work specifically to look for spina bifida. That result came back 1/7 for Downs.

After speaking with the geneticist, she is confidant that LO does not have Downs based on the Harmony Test (which is more accurate to 99%), but she wants to do an ultrasound today to rule out a few other possibilities. I don't know what those are and I think there is minimal chance of a problem, but I am still nervous.

    Sending t&p your way! I am in a similar situation and am waiting for the results of my Materni21 test (not sure if that is the same as the harmony but was also told it has a 99.1% accuracy rate!) Hoping all is well and your u/s goes great and your results come back wonderful! GL

    Thoughts and prayers go out to you today. I hate having to wait for test results especially on something that could affect the baby.

    I'm currently waiting to hear back on some test I forget the name of to find out the results of my HIV test since it has come back inconclusive 2x now. To my knowledge there is a 0% chance I could be positive (not born with it, no recreational drug use, only one sexual partner and he is HIV free) but having two separate tests come back inconclusive still makes me nervous.

    So I will add you to my prayers this evening that your results come back ASAP and have good news.

    I'm sorry you are dealing with this.  T&Ps that everything with your little girl is just fine and that after today you can relax a bit.  This must be so stressful for you!  ((Hugs))

    Me: PCOS   DH: No issues

    August '16-January '17: Clomid + HCG + IUI/TI = BFN
    February/March '17: Menopur + HCG + IUI = BFN
    April '17: Menopur + HCG + TI (due to too many mature follicles) = BFN
    May '17: Took off due to cysts
    June' 17: Menopur + HCG + IUI = Cancelled due to 8+ mature follicles
    November '17: Clomid + HCG + IUI= BFN
    December '17: Menopur + HCG + TI= BFP!!!! Due August 2018

    I'm in similar situation ...my blood screen came back with a 1/30 chance of Downs.  I was prepared for the false positives that are so common but I wasn't prepared for such a HIGH number of risk and had a huge breakdown about it.  

     

    My ultrasounds is next week Oct. 24th and I can't wait to find out the gender, as well as the health of my little one.  Sending you t&p's and I hope we both wind up with happy, healthy little ones!
