Are you having a large or small birthday for LO? Small. We have no family where we live so it's just going to be some of the neighborhood little ones.

Will LO have a special outfit? I bought him a shirt with a 1 and a palm tree with his name on it. (Our theme is is Chicka Chicka ABC since he loves the book)

Will LO get his/her own little cake made separate from the cake for the guests? He'll have his own smash cake at the photo shoot on his birthday, but his party we're only doing cupcakes.

Where will you have the party? Either our house or renting a room from the rec center.

What day of the week/time are you having the party? Saturday Nov 10th at 11:30am

Are you having a large or small birthday for LO? It turned out larger than we wanted but that's just because our families are so large. We actually didn't even invite a lot of family just because we didn't want that many people there.

Will LO have a special outfit? Yes, she'll be dressed in a denim overall/red star skirt combo with white turtleneck, jean jacket and red cowgirl boots. She'll also have the option to wear either her cowgirl hat or her headband... whichever she decides to keep on the longest.

Will LO get his/her own little cake made separate from the cake for the guests? Yes. We are doing a little red barn for her smash cake and everyone else gets matching animal decorated cupcakes.

Where will you have the party? At our new house... and we move in the DAY BEFORE. Yes, we're crazy.

What day of the week/time are you having the party? On Sunday, the 4th, her actual birthday from 1-3. We wanted a short party. I hate standing around at little kids parties, so I didn't want that for my guests.

Anything else you want to share? I'm putting a lot of work into a party where I don't think many people are going to really remember or really care about. It's more for myself because obviously my daughter isn't going to remember the details at all.

DS has tons of clothes he hasn't worn yet, so I'll pick one out!

No. One very large cake with a monkey sitting on it, will be for everyone! But he gets to dig into the monkey:)

Party will be at our home.

Saturday, Nov. 10th from 3-6 p.m.

My advice on birthdays - keep it casual and fun, get some food catered or have grandmas bring a dish to help out, and don't stress. The first birthday is super sweet and fun, and is not worth working yourself into exhaustion over!

Are you having a large or small birthday for LO? Small. We're going to be in the middle of a military move so we're probably just going to celebrating in a hotel somewhere.

Will LO have a special outfit? I got her an outfit from Mudpie that she will be wearing.

Will LO get his/her own little cake made separate from the cake for the guests? I want to do cake smash pictures so she'll have her own for that. I don't know what we're going to do yet for her actual birthday.

Where will you have the party? We're not having a party.

What day of the week/time are you having the party? Again, we're not going to be able to have a party.

Anything else you want to share? I feel really horrible that we really won't be having a proper birthday celebration. I know DD is too young yet to realize it but her birthday is one of the most important days of my life and I really want to celebrate it.

Are you having a large or small birthday for LO? Small ish, DH has three sisters, so three brother inlaws, plus their kids is eight, plus his parents and my Mom! So I think under 25 people, lol...

Will LO have a special outfit? Probably not, it'll just be something he already has. We hardly see DH's family so they won't know if it's new or old lol.

Will LO get his/her own little cake made separate from the cake for the guests? I've talked about it with my Mom, cause we think birthdays should be special and baby should have his own day!

Where will you have the party? One of my SILs houses, probably.

What day of the week/time are you having the party? Thanksgiving day, with my husband's family and my Mom!

Where will you have the party? Our house is pretty big and has enough space for a party. It will be gorgeous outside so hopefully have some of it outside.

What day of the week/time are you having the party? Sunday the 18th at 11am. I know it's football, but it will be on our TVs for sure.

Anything else you want to share? I had ideas of a big, all out party, but when I realized that it's all for me, we decided to go simple and just BBQ.

Will LO have a special outfit? He has a cake smashing outfit for his first birthday photos. If I can get all of the icing out he will probably wear that.

Will LO get his/her own little cake made separate from the cake for the guests? Yep, small cake for DS and cupcakes for everyone else.

Where will you have the party? My IL's house....it's huge

It was just family, about 20 people

Will LO have a special outfit?
He had a shirt with ONE appliqud on it for his actual birthday. For his party, he wore a monogrammed shirt with Mickey. I didn't get it birthday releated because we are going to Disney in January and I want him to wear it there.

Will LO get his/her own little cake made separate from the cake for the guests? He did have his own. Luckily, the bakery I ordered from does them for free with an order of a regular cake!

Where will you have the party?
It was at our house.

What day of the week/time are you having the party?
It was this last Saturday.

Anything else you want to share? Be prepared for stress no matter how well you prepare. And make sure to enjoy it all!!

As we are getting into the birthday season I was wondering what everyone was doing.

Are you having a large or small birthday for LO? Small - as in just the 3 of us. T-giving is the next week and we'll celebrate with the ILs then.

Will LO have a special outfit? I don't know. I have a dress that I bought for her MONTHS ago that she hasn't worn yet. I didn't buy it as a birthday dress but since she hasn't worn it yet, maybe it will be.

Will LO get his/her own little cake made separate from the cake for the guests? I was thinking of making cupcakes so she'd have her own.

Where will you have the party? The three of us will celebrate at the house or we might go out to lunch/early dinner at a place DD likes (TBD). We've been joking that since DD loves meat so much we should take her to Fogo de Chao. Heh heh.

Anything else you want to share? The plan is to just celebrate the 3 of us. That's how I want it. I'm not sure MIL is going to be, um, accepting of this idea and even though we will see her next week for Thanksgiving (they are about 3.5 hours away), I expect her to freak the freak out about it and I don't care.

Depends on your definition of large and small... we're having about 30 people over, mostly family with a couple friends.

Yes! An adorable polka dot dress that says Birthday Girl form Amazon, we're also getting her a gold bunny necklace with her birthstone, so that will be part of her outfit too.

Will LO get his/her own little cake made separate from the cake for the guests?
Sort of, I'm making DD's cake. It will be a sheet cake for the guests and then I'm carving a 4D bunny that will sit on top of the sheet cake and that will remove and be her "smash" cake.

Where will you have the party?
Our home.

What day of the week/time are you having the party?
Her birthday isn't until 12/2, and it's a Sunday. We're having her party at 2pm (just apps, no lunch or dinner) on Saturday the 1st... we want to spend her actual birthday as just our family.

What day of the week/time are you having the party? Saturday in the late afternoon/evening.

Anything else you want to share? We're probably doing a BBQ/nacho menu. My Mom's birthday is the day of the party (2 days before LO's birthday), so I want to figure out something to do for her too.

Are you having a large or small birthday for LO? We're planning on 24 people. So mid-size I'd say

Will LO have a special outfit? Yes! A shirt with a "1" and Charlie Brown, Linus and Lucy on it, a diaper cover with all the peanuts characters on it and black babylegs. Peanuts is our theme. Michele from Zookiescrafts on etsy was great to work with and did an awesome job with this custom outfit.

Will LO get his/her own little cake made separate from the cake for the guests? I still haven't decided. DH wants one, but I already have tons on my plate with cooking and everything especially since we'll both be gone the week of his party, it's really crammed. But I'd hate to buy one since I'm home-making the other cake and cupcakes.

What day of the week/time are you having the party? 12:00 on Saturday, Nov 10.

Anything else you want to share? For a menu, we're doing soup and baked potato bar. Excited!

Her invites are being made from a girl on etsy printed on burlap and on one side of the invite will list her First with dates including her very first foot prints, the second side has a pocket that will hold her invite and a current photo of her and our decorations will be shabby chic.

Are you having a large or small birthday for LO? two mid-size parties. One in CA - about 25 people. A smaller party in WA (where we live) with MH family - about 15 people.

Will LO have a special outfit? My Aunt bought her a really cute first birthday outfit when I was pregnant. It's cupcake themed with a pink tutu.

Will LO get his/her own little cake made separate from the cake for the guests? For the CA birthday I want to do mini cupcakes and then have a regular size cupcake for her. I'm waiting for a Groupon or something to come out!

Where will you have the party? For the CA birthday we reserved a pavilion at a park. The WA birthday at a nursing home where MH's Gpa lives. He can't travel so we always do family events there.

What day of the week/time are you having the party? Park: Sunday from 1 - 3 pm. Idk yet about the other one; probably a Friday early evening.

Anything else you want to share? I can't believe she is going to be one in less than 1 month! This past year has been amazing and I think I will be shedding some tears at the party!

Are you having a large or small birthday for LO? There will probably be 40 people there, but I'm combining parties for both girls since their birthdays are a week apart. So DH's family will be there, my small family if they can make it from out of town, and then friends of my DD1 from dance and school. So big party, but saves me the sanity because I only have to do one party!

Will LO have a special outfit? Probably. Maybe just a cute shirt that says Birthday Girl or something.

Will LO get his/her own little cake made separate from the cake for the guests? I think the bakery that I'm going to gives a smash cake with the purchase of a large cake.

Where will you have the party? I am renting the clubhouse of a townhouse community of a friend of mine. Nice because I actually have the keys for the whole weekend, so I can set up Friday night and it has a kitchen. We are also able to take our bouncy house for outside.

What day of the week/time are you having the party? It's going to be Sat Nov 17th because that is the saturday between both girls' birthday.

Anything else you want to share?
DD1's theme is magic and we are actually hiring a magician that was on America's Got Talent!! And DD2's theme is Little Golden Books (Poky Little Puppy, etc). Setting up the room which has two areas with a sitting area in between with each girl having their own side and theme.

Where will you have the party? our home. I'm hoping the weather is nice so we can have some people out on the deck to relax and not have everyone inside the entire party

Anything else you want to share? We're not going crazy with spending a lot of money on decorations. I spent 8 bucks on her invitations! (Crazy clearance price at Target) I don't want to stress myself out over this. She won't even remember it, but I want her to look back and know that we were excited for her. :-)

We did pink lemonade for DSD's 13th. I did a strawberry cake with lemon icing that was really good.

a small church community house near my mom (just cos me/my parents have small living rooms and this place is free )

I'm worried that we will be overwhelmed with clothes and toys that we really don't need. I wish everyone would bring diapers/food/stuff we need. haha
