I have no idea, but I like to think that...
Most mornings when she wakes up, I stick her in her PNP with a sippy and her cheerios (or like finger food) and put on the TV. I take about 30-40 minutes to make coffee and breakfast for me, take Max out, tidy up a bit, and send emails (mainly to family back in the States).
The shows I put on are all kid/baby friendly shows, but they change the lineup frequently here in the UK, so I never know what is on from day to day. Today, the first show was in German and the second one in French. For the first time, she got really excited to watch the TV. She was standing up in her PNP, hanging on to the sides and bouncing up and down while laughing/screeching...
When I was pregnant, I was unsure that I would let DD watch TV...now I am fine with her watching a show or two in the mornings. Do you let your LOs watch tv? If so what do they watch? Anyone else change their mind about TV once your LO came?

Re: My DD is learning German...
I usually have the news on in the mornings as I am getting breakfast/coffee, and E will play with his toys and could care less about the TV. I have occasionally put on Mickey Mouse and Bubble Guppies for him, just to see his reaction. He would watch for a few minutes, but went right back to his toys.
I don't have a problem with some TV, but it should never take the place of real interaction and interactive play. They learn so much more interacting than watching a screen.
She does glance at the tv when BNN is on during the day.
My husband and baby may have tv time together at some point soon. His call.

I have always been very against TV for babies/kids. We don't have cable so we only watch stuff online. For the most part DS is oblivious to the screen when DH is watching something on his days off. I'm not too worried about, but that's because DS doesn't have access to any of it.
We did eat at a buffalo wild wings a week ago, in my brother's honor - he picked it. DS was really distracted by all the flashing screens and sports, it was hard to get him to focus on eating. But that place is kind of stimulus overload centered.
